The Vale of Glamorgan Local Development Plan 2011-2026 (LDP) was adopted by the Council on the 28th June 2017. The LDP supersedes the previous adopted Unitary Development Plan and sets out the policies for managing development in the Vale of Glamorgan and is the basis for decisions on land use planning. The Council has prepared a draft Supplementary Planning Guidance document (SPG) to supplement the policies contained in the LDP in relation to the Cardiff Airport – St Athan Enterprise Zone and Strategic Employment Allocation. The draft SPG is referred to as:
- Cardiff Airport and Gateway Development Zone
The Public are invited to comment on these draft documents during the public consultation exercise taking place between Monday 19th 2019 and 5p.m. Tuesday 1st October 2019.
The draft SPG and further information on the consultation procedures are available on the Council’s web site at http://www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/en/living/planning_and_building_control/Planning/planning_policy/Supplementary-Planning-Guidance.aspx or hard copies can be inspected at the Dock Office, Barry during normal office hours. Once the consultation period ends, all comments will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet for their consideration prior to the final adoption of the SPG for use in the determination of future planning applications.
In the interim the Council’s existing adopted SPG will still be used as a material consideration in the determination of planning applications. If you require any further information about the SPGs or this consultation exercise, please contact the LDP Team on 01446 700111 or email mailto:LDP@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
